Jon Jones’ UFC 135 submission win over Quinton “Rampage” Jackson proved that he is the top guy in the light heavyweight division and one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world.

After dominating such elite level opposition, it’s hard to envision anyone ever taking the title away from Jones, but as UFC President Dana White insists, a stacked division such as the UFC’s 205-pound division offers up a multitude of interesting challenges.

“The beauty in the 205-pound division is it’s stacked. There’s a lot of tough guys out there, and I’ll tell you what, Rashad just came off an awesome performance against Tito, and we’ll see what happens with Shogun and Dan Henderson,” said White.

It’s hard to imagine anyone cleaning out the 205-pound division, but Jones isn’t just anyone.

His blend of striking and grappling are on levels beyond anything that’s ever been seen in the sport. Rampage credits Evans as the toughest test for Jones left in the light heavyweight division, but he doesn’t really see any other fighter derailing the young champion.

What’s next for Jones if he cleans out his division?

“If Jones is what everyone believes he is, then the 205-pound division will end up looking like the 185-pound division, which has had a lot of talent but it doesn’t look like it because the guy that holds the belt is so damn good he makes it look like it doesn’t,” White said. “He’s still a young guy, and if he does clean out the division, he and I have talked about possible heavyweight.”
