With the news that Georges St-Pierre could (and is better suited to) drop to 155 pounds and further make the UFC’s lightweight division even more stacked, it gave fans more doubt that a mega fight with Anderson Silva will ever come to fruition.
GSP dropping to lightweight brings up thoughts of a fight with current champion Frankie Edgar. It also makes more tantalizing matchups between GSP and the lightweight division.
Of course, somewhere, someplace, is Kenny Florian sighing since he just announced his return to lightweight, but this of course is purely hypothetical.
