Nick Diaz really wore down BJ Penn the whole fight and beat him up in probably the worst beating BJ has ever taken. BJ Penn retired in the post fight interview. Love ya BJ ever since you KO’d Caol Uno and then ran out of the arena. Maholo! This was a great fight to watch and whenever it hits Unleashed make sure you catch it.

Roy Nelson wins and Mirko Cro Cop announced his retirement. Nelson didn’t have the best punching of the night, Cro Cop was better on his feet. It kind of annoyed me to see Roy not cutting the ring off. However, like I thought, Nelson’s belly would come into play as he got Cro Cop in a crucifix and pounded him out badly. However, Cro Cop survived the 2nd round as time expired – lucky for him. Then Roy got him against, got his back and pounded him out from above.

Kongo had to avoid a cagey Mittrione for the first round, but eventually connected with many more punches and took him down twice. In the third round Kongo was beating Mittrione up. One judge scored it 30-27 for Kongo.

George Roop got robbed against Hioki tonight imo. Hioki had takedowns and very little of anything else. In the third round it was all Roop who landed probably a 10-1 difference in strikes. If we had the 1/2 point scoring, he would have earned that half point. Hikoi won a split decision. I had Roop winning this fight on my score card and my bet.

Cerrone beat Siver rather easily connected with two head kicks, but finished a drunk Siver via RNC.

Brandon Vera got back on the horse with a win over Elliot Marshall.

Palaszewski KO’s Tyson Griffin – wow ever since his loss to Gomi his jaw has become glass it seems.

Jorgensen coasted to a victory over Curran. I knew this fight would go the distance and went for +2 1/2 rounds. Curran wasn’t catching anything on Joregensen and Jorgensen wasn’t going to knockout or stop Curran. However, the chance for a sub by Curran was always there. Its safer to do a round bet in this type of matchup.

I went 5 for 6 tonight in my personal.
