Former top bantamweight contender Scott Jorgensen took on Jeff Curran at last night’s UFC 137.

The bout, originally on the preliminary card, was moved up to the main card after UFC Welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre was forced to pull out of his bout with Carlos Condit due to a knee injury.

Jorgensen took the unanimous decision victory, giving him a perfect 2-0 record in the UFC.

After the fight, MMA H.E.A.T.’s Karyn Bryant talked with Jorgensen about the win.

“I think I did good,” Jorgensen said.  “I dominated the fight and that’s all there is to it.”

Although happy with the win, Jorgensen was disappointed in the lack of action in his bout, wishing that he could have put on more of a show for the fans.

“If I’m not the most exciting fight on the card, I’m kind of disappointed, you know?” Jorgensen said.

Despite not putting on as flashy of a fight as he had hoped, Jorgensen was proud of his improvement since losing to UFC Bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz last September at WEC 53.

Interestingly, Jorgensen was candid about his pre-fight habits, saying that he goes out and parties the night before his fights.

He said that he likes to go out the night before as he is a night person anyways, usually going to bed late and waking up later in the day.

Especially on fight weekends, Jorgensen likes to relax after having such a long and grueling training camp.

“I like my life,” Jorgensen remarked.
