Unlike the average professional athlete, Brock Lesnar grew up on a farm in the outskirts of Webster, South Dakota.
Lesnar, a former All-American wrestler for Minnesota University, chose a path that few would travel.
In 2000, Lesnar joined the World Wrestling Federation, which later changed it’s name to World Wrestling Entertainment.
Lesnar spent years with the WWE, quickly becoming one of the most popular wrestlers on the face of the earth.
It was only a matter of time until Lesnar won the WWE Championship and was seemingly unbeatable.
Lesnar’s career would come to an end, but not before he had won WWE gold three times, a Royal Rumble and a King of the Ring.
Lesnar would move on to the sport of mixed martial arts, where he would no longer have a say in what the outcome of his bouts would be.
After joining with the Ultimate Fighting Championship in October of 2007, Lesnar would be submitted by Frank Mir in just his first fight inside the Octagon.
However, Lesnar would bounce back and eventually become the new UFC heavyweight champion by defeating UFC legend Randy Couture by way of knockout.
After winning his next two fights, Lesnar would be stripped of his title by Cain Velasquez before stepping away from the Octagon for more than a year.
Lesnar has been in a constant battle with diverticulitis, but will be making his return to the UFC on December 30th, 2011, to take on the highly dangerous striker, Alistair Overeem.
Lesnar is now one of the most decorated athletes in any sport today.
And while Lesnar has certainly had success in both the WWE and the UFC, it leaves fans with one question:
Is Brock Lesnar a better UFC fighter or WWE wrestler?
