UFC light heavyweight champ Jon ‘Bones’ Jones became the first 205-pound champion to successfully defend his title since Chuck ‘The Iceman’ Liddell did it back in 2006 against Randy Couture.
Despite Jones dominance in the Octagon, the fans at the Air Canada Centre offered up a chorus of boos to the champ at the weigh-ins as well as at last nights UFC 140 main event.
After Jones finished opponent Lyoto Machida, choking his Brazilian opponent unconscious in the second round, coach Greg Jackson can be heard yelling at ‘Bones’ to check on Machida in order to “get some fans.”
This will certainly not help the reigning champions image.
