“The only reason he won that fight was because I rushed myself. I was rushing my shots, trying to hit him. I actually ran into a stiff jab that actually rocked me. By the time I hit the canvas, I shook it off, but he was already on my back. So, it’s a life lesson — I walked away with nor scratches or bruises.”

UFC lightweight Melvin ‘The Young Assassin’ Guillard (29-9-2, 1 NC) talks about his recent loss to Joe Lauzon saying he “rushed things” last October by trying to finish the fight. Guillard is still in the hunt for a UFC title and would like to get a title shot should he beat Jim Miller on Jan. 20, 2012 in the main event of UFC on FX 1.
