This Saturday’s UFC 144 marks the promotion’s return to Japan for the first time since UFC 29, as well as the first time that Zuffa will host a UFC in the country.
Headlining this historic event will be an exciting lightweight title fight between current UFC champion Frankie Edgar and former WEC champion Benson Henderson. Both are well-rounded and explosive fighters, making for a great battle of champions.
Also on the card will be a light heavyweight matchup between former UFC champion and fan favorite Rampage Jackson and The Ultimate Fighter Season 8 winner Ryan Bader. Jackson returns to Japan for the first time in almost six years, having gained his popularity in the now-defunct Pride organization.
This stacked card also features a total of nine Japanese fighters who will look to put on a show in front of their native country’s fans.
