UFC Flyweight Ian McCall was arrested earlier this week by the Laguna Beach Police Department. Stu News Laguna has the details surrounding the arrest:

Ian Gregory McCall, 28, Irvine was arrested without incident for two Harbor Court warrants for possession of narcotic paraphernalia, possession of prescription meds without a valid prescription, and driving on a suspended license. The warrants had a total bail of $16,500.

The LBPD stated that McCall was no longer in its custody but did not specify whether that meant he had been moved to another facility or was released.

Jason House, McCall’s manager, was able to give the details on the arrest to MMAFighting.

“McCall was charged with driving on a suspended license in June, which was a probation violation,” reads an article on the website. “He was supposed to appear in court this month, however, he did not due to a miscommunication. He was arrested after the DEA agents recognized his car.”

According to the story from MMAFighting, Captain Jason Kravetz of the LBPD stated that McCall had been transferred to the Orange County Central Men’s Jail and will be held until his court hearing on Sept. 13. Occourts.org reports that McCall has only been charged with driving with a suspended license at the moment.

McCall has had some personal demons not only hinder his MMA career but his personal life as well. In the lead up to his UFC debut, McCall acknowledged his past trouble with law enforcement and drugs.

The former contender for the flyweight title has appeared twice inside the Octagon. Both were tough fights against Demetrious Johnson, the first of which was a draw, but ultimately McCall would lose the rematch. He was scheduled to fight John Moraga at the UFC on Fox 4 event but an injury forced him off the card.
