Frank Mir Still Wants Fight With Strikeforce Grand Prix Winner Daniel Cormier

Former UFC heavyweight champ Frank Mir walked away with two awards following Friday nights 2012 World MMA Awards picking up the “Comeback of the Year” and “Submission of the Year” honors for his UFC 140 win over Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira just over a year ago. Before walking into the ceremonies Mir stopped for this interview to talk about the performances of Junior dos Santos and current champ Cain Velasquez. Mir also noted that he is still in the hunt for UFC gold but would like to face Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix winner Daniel Cormier next. Both Mir and Cormier were to face one another last fall in the Strikeforce cage but an injury to Mir forced the Las Vegas based fighter out of the match.
