Mike Goldberg, veteran voice of the UFC Octagon, will resume duty as play-by-play announcer Jan. 26 at UFC on Fox 6.
After missing UFC 155 for alleged drug usage, Goldberg’s reputation took a hit, and many wondered when (or if) Goldie would return to his perch alongside Joe Rogan.
After Goldberg himself denied these claims and asserted the problems were simply health related, order was restored in the world of UFC commentary.
Now, we have a date and a time for the veteran commentator’s return, courtesy of Damon Martin’s Twitter account, @DamonMartin.

While we all like to poke fun at Goldie from time to time, the fact remains that his job is an incredibly difficult one, and he performs exceptionally time and time again.
He may mess up some technical terms here and there or mispronounce some names, but for the most part, he is a valued and respected member of the UFC and sports commentating world at large.
I, for one, am happy to have Goldie back. Jon Anik did a fine job replacing him at UFC 155, but Goldie’s passion and commitment to his work has been (and will be) an irreplaceable aspect of the organization’s fight broadcasts.
Welcome back, sir.
