Pedro Munhoz says Sean O’Malley needs to accept the fact he lost to Marlon Vera.

Pedro Munhoz isn’t a fan of the way Sean O’Malley carries himself in the media.

Munhoz thinks it’s ridiculous that O’Malley acts as if he’s undefeated despite losing to Marlon Vera in 2020 and thinks ‘Suga’ needs to come to terms with the fact that he lost.

O’Malley doesn’t want to acknowledge the loss because of how the fight unfolded. The No. 13-ranked bantamweight suffered a leg injury moments before the TKO stoppage and claims he would have beaten ‘Chito’ had it not been for the injury.

Munhoz thinks this is a very childish and immature outlook for an aspiring UFC champion and believes modern-day rap culture may be the culprit.

“He’s from this new generation that is influenced by rappers on social media,” Munhoz told MMA Fighting’s Guilherme Cruz on a recent episode of the Trocação Franca podcast. “So I believe this image of being undefeated is something that defines him as a person and an athlete, but it’s ridiculous. I’m telling you, I think that’s ridiculous. If you’re injured or not, if the fight was stopped or not, you lost, buddy.”

Criticism aside, Munhoz respects O’Malley as a fighter and holds no animosity toward him heading into UFC 276.

“I’ve spent time with many guys that do this trash talk, and they do that as a way to promote themselves, but also as a form of insecurity. They have to talk to believe,” Munhoz said. “But I don’t have anything against him. The times we were next to each other, he was never disrespectful. This is going to be my 19th fight in the organization and I think that every time I’m focusing on my process and daily training, I’m moving closer to my peak performance on fight night.”

UFC 276, which features Munhoz vs. O’Malley as the first fight to kick off the main card, takes place this Saturday, July 2 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez recently filed a civil suit against Harry Goularte, who was recently arrested and charged on allegations of child abuse against a number of children, including Velasquez’s four year-old son.

In addition, the suit names Goularte’s mother and stepfather, owners of the daycare center that “fostered and maintained an environment where the children could be molested, sexually abused and harassed,” according to a copy of the complaint obtained by LA Times.

Velasquez took justice into his own hands earlier this year, hunting down and attempting to shoot Goularte in the streets of San Jose, leading to his own arrest on charges of attempted murder. Goularte was eventually released on bail as he awaits trial; however, Velasquez remains behind bars.

“The defendant should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law,” the plaintiff’s attorney told MMA Junkie. “His terrible criminal acts of abusing (my) client should (receive) the harshest criminal punishment available by law. The daycare facility should never operate again. And the owner should be held accountable both civilly and criminally for her neglect. This daycare has a history of neglect when it comes to following state laws pertaining to child safety and care.”

Velasquez will return to court for his long-overdue plea hearing on Aug. 19. As for the civil suit, which seeks both economic and non-economic damages, that gets underway with a case management conference in early September.

“Just signed with the @WWE,” Logan Paul tweeted alongside pictures of him signing his contract with the professional wrestling industry leader.

Logan Paul has been linked to an upcoming SummerSlam appearance in Tennessee

The organization also confirmed the signing of the Ohio native ahead of an expected appearance at SummerSlam in July, with Paul also sending a message to WrestleMania teammate, The Miz (real name Michael Mizanin)  in the process. Paul posed alongside his WWE contract alongside interim WWE CEO and Chairwoman, Stephanie McMahon, as well as former WWE Superstar, Triple H (real name Paul Levesque).

Streaking 135-pound knockout artist Sean O’Malley will collide with battle-tested bantamweight veteran Pedro Munhoz at the upcoming UFC 276 pay-per-view (PPV) event, locked and loaded for this Sat. night (July 2, 2022) inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

No disrespect to middleweight headliners Israel Adesanya or Jared Cannonier, but O’Malley vs. Munhoz might be the people’s main event, based on how “Sugar” is feeling in Episode 4 of UFC 276 “Embedded.”

“Feels like it’s a main event, that’s what it feels like,” O’Malley said. “Feels like I’m headlining the card. I feel like I definitely deserve to be in this spot with the performances I’ve been putting on. I’m really excited to go out there and perform. I feel like this is gonna be my best performance yet against Pedro Munhoz.”

I’m sure it will top any performance he could have experienced in NFL (or porn).

“I didn’t know I was gonna be fighting, I just knew I was gonna be famous,” O’Malley continued. “For whatever reason, I just saw it. I thought I was gonna be in the NFL for a long time. I coulda saw myself doing porn, anything. Fighting’s the coolest one though, couldn’t have been anything better.”
