So by now our team has pretty much figured that it’s Dodson relaying information to the other team, but we still didn’t know the extent of what Dodson was telling them until around the time of this episode.

I think Mayhem was so shocked that Dodson, his first pick, ended up being a traitor. Because of that, he really didn’t do anything about it. I’m not sure what Mayhem could of really done anyway about Dodson.

So coming up with the switcheroo on fight announcement seemed like the only thing to do! Only Neace, Siler, and the coaches actually knew about the switch, which was a good idea because Akira had to cut a lot of weight and Diego really was getting emotional.

So after the fight announcement, our team had a team meeting kinda secretly and I’m pretty sure Dodson knew it was about him because he didn’t come. During the team meeting the coaches told us that Dodson had been revealing all of our team’s training: what we’ve been focusing on for each fighter, who’s hurt, what matchups we wanted, literally everything…WOW!!!

Then the guys started chiming and were saying how they’ve been suspicious of Dodson and why. Dustin Pague told us that just a few days before, he was telling Dodson thank you for being a great training partner and training with him for Louis.

Then Pague said that Dodson looked down and said “No, I’m not. I’m not a good friend or training partner.” He had been telling Louis everything about Pague and that Pague hurt his ribs before the fight.

I couldn’t believe it. But at least Dodson had enough guilt and balls to tell Pague the truth to his face. Craziness!

The coaches talked to Dodson and told him how he put them in an awkward situation and that our team was not happy with him, but he didn’t seem to care.

So the night of the fight pick and weigh-ins of Akira vs. Dustin Neace a huge prank war broke out that ended sourly on the second night! TJ, Prince and Bass got into a war with Taz, Louis and Dodson!

At first it just started out as Louis and Taz (Ferguson) vs. TJ and Prince (John Albert), Louis was on the balcony throwing stuff down at TJ and Prince, Taz ran downstairs to get more supplies to flank TJ and Prince from the back side while they were focusing on throwing stuff back at Louis on the Balcony and somehow I got mixed up in the crossfire. On his way outside Taz antiqued me with flour then went on attack TJ and Prince.

Meanwhile, I decided it was time for payback. I went into the house and filled up a bucket of freezing ice cold water and sneaked up on Taz and threw the whole bucket in his face right when he turned around. Then we started wrestling and I threw his little ass in the pool.

Taz had a few drinks too and he tried to climb out of the pool right where I was standing, so I shoved him back in. He came right back and tried to get out again. I pushed him back in and this went on for a while. You would think he would’ve swam to the other side to get out, but nope!

So then I noticed my buddy Prince sneaking up on me, I figured he was gonna try and push me in, so I was just waiting as he creeped closer. When he felt he was close enough he started running at me and went to push me in. I spun out of the way at the last second and he tried to catch himself, flailing at the edge of the pool. But he had too much momentum and he went in.

At this point I was laughing hysterically and so was everyone else who made it out to watch the action. Then, naturally, Taz got out of the pool and chased me in the house and tried wrestling mewhich is not his strong point!

After he was finally tired of me throwing him around he decided to take off his wet clothes and chase me…this is the scene they showed on the previews where a lot of people thought I was naked, when in fact I was the one being chased!

So the next night the war started again with the same guys: Louis on the balcony and Taz attacking them in the back yard. But this time TJ and Prince held down Taz, and Peaches (aka Stephen Bass) started to hogtie him up with tape which was absolutely gut-busting and funny!

The whole time Taz was yelling “Death Leprechauns assemble,” which is there little crew. So I was the balcony with Louis, watching as Louis was bombing them with every kitchen product he could find, lol!

I started to make him feel bad for not helping out Taz, so he finally ran down to rally Dodson and Darkness (Marcus Brimage). Meanwhile, Taz’s demeanor changed instantly for the worse and he started panicking and freaking out, cussing and saying he was going to kill them and that his hand broke.

Then Dodson and Louis ran outside to bomb TJ, Prince and Bass with eggs and flour. TJ got a hold of Louis and suplayed him in the bushes. Peaches tried to grab Dodson but he was too fast while Prince was fending of Darkness from Taz!

Then TJ got a hold of Dodson and threw him in the pool while Darkness retreated. Now Taz was super emotional and turned psycho so they cut him loose. He got in TJ’s face, calling him every name in the book and said they jumped him and hurt him. He was trying to pick a fight.

This went on for a good 30 minutes straight and it got heated, but TJ kept his cool and Dodson and Louis finally got Taz to calm down. Whew, wow, that turned for the worse quickly!!

Oh, and I forgot to mention that a few nights before that Akira sneaked into my room while i was asleep and buzzed a nice chunk of my beautiful hair! I was so pissed at the time that I almost killed Akira!

After Taz freaked out, we knew things were gonna get hairy, so we decided to form our own little team Called L.A.D.L (League of Anti Death Leprechauns) lol!

L.A.D.L. consisted of TJ, Prince, Neace, Peaches and myself. We all had wooden spoons kinda like our swords that we decorated to represent our allegiance haha. This tells you how bored you get living in that house, lol! Stay tuned in as more shenanigans happen throughout the season! Thanks for reading.

Episode 3 starts off where episode 2 finished with me getting the win over Marcus aka “Darkness!” Mayhem talk about how my win set the tone for the Team and gets our moral up and puts another stab at Bisping!

Then fight pick time, they show Dodson saying he pretty much on the other team and that he had been giving away all of our match ups and plans. At that time we didn’t have a clue Dodson was giving up info about our team, but Bedford from the beginning thought something was fishy about Dodson.

Then at fight picks, Ferguson aka Taz pulled out that letter that said F*** you Bedford, so we knew someone was leaking info & Dodson was always hanging out with the other team…Hmmmmm.

Now a little behind the scenes action they didn’t show! That night after the fight picks around 1 am when I thought the night was over and I was getting ready to hit the hay, someone started a war and guess who???

Yep, AKIRA of course, he started a war against Louis, Dodson & Roland (which up until now Roland has been kind of a loner). So when I run outside to see what’s going on I see Akira ducking, diving and jiving to dodge all the flying objects that they’re throwing at him from the balcony. Lol.

What do I see in Akira’s hands, the freakin’ fire extinguisher which they told us NOT to touch. He finally makes it to the bottom of the balcony, and starts throwing stuff back at them and starts spraying the fire extinguisher at them every time they look over the edge. It’s actually pretty hilarious!!

So when Akira finally runs out of things to throw at them, he runs around to the kitchen where now John Albert AKA Prince is up from bed (remember this is all takin’ place after 1am) and Akira talks him into taping wooden skewers to his hands like Wolverine. Lol. He also convinces Prince to wear his swim goggles (which by the way looks absolutely ridiculous) and pretend he’s Cyclops.

Akira also tried to talk TJ Dillashaw AKA Wonder Boy to wear a metal rice cooker pot on his head, lol, and pretend he’s magneto, but TJ doesn’t go for it. So its Prince and Shakira vs Dodson, Roland and Louis as TJ and I stand by and laugh.

Prince and Akira grab Mustard and a bunch of other stuff from the kitchen including the fire extinguisher to make their attack on the balcony. TJ and I watch them battle it out on the balcony as Akira sprays the fire extinguisher, which runs out shortly then squirts mustard ALL over the place as they return fire with bottles of water followed by flour and muffin mix. Haha!

Somehow the other guys get a hold of the mustard bottle and TJ and I agree it’s time to get heck outta there, but I still ended up getting covered in water and some muffin mix myself! So we run outside, Akira jumps in the pool to rinse off then jumps out and takes Marcus Brimage AKA Darkness hostage with his “Wolverine” claws.

Since Darkness is a part of their little click which ends up actually working because they get rid of mustard bottle. Louis ends up taking off Darkness’ microphone and hands it to Peaches (Steven Bass) and then Peaches pushes all three of the guys in the pool. Louis gets out immediately and starts freaking out, saying he still had his microphone on which is a $2k fine if you ruin it.

Peaches thought that Louis gave him his microphone not Darkness’ and he assumed Darkness and Akira had theirs off because they were by the edge of the pool & Akira was already soaking wet…whoops!

So Peaches freaks out, goes inside and calls the producer.  Luckily, they saw it was an accident so they gave him his one get out of jail free card. Luckily for him he didn’t have to pay the $2k fine. That pretty much concluded the night, it was a crazy one!

Next day at weigh-ins, Bisping starts making personal attacks on Mayhem, saying he’s the Strikeforce reject and where’s his picture in the UFC training center. Then after that the guys weigh-in, Ferguson tries to smile off his nervousness but you can see right through it.

So when we get home, the blue team is fighting and arguing because Diego and Marcus had it out in practice and now Diego is super pissed off and emotional and wants to leave the house and go home but we all talked him into staying, even our team since he pretty much hung out with our team mostly we all really liked him. The blue team seemed chaotic.

Fight Day arrives, Bedford asked me to go early with him to his fight to be his warmup partner, everyone on our team wore orange bandanas to support him since he’s always wearin that damn thing lol. Bedford wins the fight with a unanimous decision in a dominating style with a great display of clinch work and ground n pound.

So after the fights we have a BBQ with the coaches and Miller talks our wrestling coach Kush into drinking a whole glass of Hot tub water that all the fighters have used to cut weight in and sweated in for like $20, NOT worth it!

Then Dustin Pague says he will eat a cockroach for some cash which progresses to three bugs fr $60 and he has to chew them up completely & wash them down with a little bit of jacuzzi water lol it was really funny you should have seen his face!

Welcome to my TUF 14 Episode 2 blog!

So after they gather all the guys together that won to get in the house they lecture us about the rules in house which was a pretty short list! No talking to any camera men, absolutely no touching the camera crew, or talking about the camera crew, no singing, and no asking the coaches outside information at all, and that was pretty much it!

So we get to the house and its a huge mansion in northwest Vegas and I’m the first one in along with Dennis Bremudez and Dustin Pague! We immediately rush to look for a room and bed to claim like a bunch of little kids!

We first check the room under the stairs and it had three beds in it and looked pretty sic so Dustin P. and Dennis snatch up two beds but I wanted to be in a room with my homies John Albert and T.J. Dillashaw if I’m going to have to share a room with people.

So I run down the hall way to the other side of the house and find a sweet room with three bunk beds and claim the first bottom bunk and save two other beds for John and T.J.! John was above me and T.J. was to the left on the bottom bunk with Marcus on the top.

Yes, it was a little weird sleeping 10 feet from the guy when I knew I was going to fight him! Then Stephen Bass and Dustin Neace were on the bottom and top bunk, respectively, of the last bunk! The upstairs had a big open room and had seven beds in it.

Man, that sucks for the guys in there!

So the guys that got stuck upstairs were Johnny Bedford, John Dodson, Roland Delorme, Josh Ferguson, Louis Guidinot, Steven Siler, and Diego Brandao! Downstairs in the room right under the stairs were Dennis Bremudez, Dustin Pague and Akira Corassani. After getting the beds situated it was off to explore the house which was sicko.

Well, at first!

The house was stocked up with so much food it was ridiculous, if you thought of something within reason, it was there!! There was a ton of Miller Lite and hard A and I thought great haha this is gonna get crazy! Then we had a huge feast it was insane and chilled by the pool!

The next day was team picks and at first I 100% wanted to be on Mayhem’s team but Bisping guys cornered me for the fight to get in the house! Bisping’s coaches razor Rob,Tiki, Sean, Z , and his crazy jiu-jitsu coach Brady were all cool but I hadn’t yet met Mayhem’s coaches yet and I liked Mayhem personality a lot better!

Team picks was probably the most stressful time for me because the most important thing was that I made it on one of my buddies team. Also I know I looked like crap due to almost dying from lack of oxygen haha (no-cardio) in my first fight! I Figured there’s two of my friends so the odds are I’ll make it on one of there teams hopefully Mayhems!

Wow Nope I was wrong both T.J. and John Albert aka Prince got put on Bisping’s team and I got put on Mayhem’s and my stress levels went thought the roof!!!

Now I know I’m not gonna be able to train with them and being on the opposite team could cause tension between us and our teams bc we’re friends! I came to the conclusion of oh well these are my real friends outside of this reality show and I didn’t care if we were on different teams or not there still my boys!

Right after team picks our team stays and we train first! He introduces us to his coaches and I really like them, they seem down to earth and very humble!

So a day goes by and since we got first fight choice we have to decide who fighting first from our team! Bedford and I went running together in the back yard and started talking about match ups and that he possibly wanted to fight first. Well the next day he hurts his hand an decided he doesn’t want to fight first and no one else really wants to fight first from our team.

I know I’m out of shape and the next fight is literally only six days later after our fight to get in the house so I STILL wont have any training really or cardio. I know the longer I wait the more my anxiety will just get worse and no one else wants to really fight first so i say heck with it why not.

At least we have control right now and our team will get to pick who I get to fight, so I stepped up and said I wanna fight first! I thought either Marcus or Stephen would be the best match up, preferably Stephen because he had a 10-0 record and I feel he’s a more technical fighter than Marcus and would be easier to control because he would engage with me. I thought it would be more of an overall technical match and i felt he couldn’t hang w me technically  and he also wasn’t in the greatest shape either although still more than I was!

I knew Marcus was big strong and in Great shape but he didn’t know what he was doing on the ground and would be like a wild bull trying to get up and out or just come at me which means CARDIO haha! But then Mayhem and the team decided on Marcus which I was fine with I was there to fight!

So at weigh ins during the face off the other team came up w a little song and at first it was funny but then they made it personal by calling me a B#$$# and then when Marcus screamed out this girly yell in my face which was actually pretty hilarious, I thought to myself oh now its on!! So that night I just stared up at Marcus’s bed just visualizing how I was going to choke him unconscious the next day!

So fight day is chill just rest up head to the venue and bring Siler and Bedford with me to warm up with. For 30 fights straight I always threw up right before the fight due to the nerves, excitement, and adrenaline, but the last two fights and this one I didn’t throw up so I’m making improvements!!

So first round I take him down easy move to his back and he scrambling around and I’m thinking damn this dude’s strong haha. I’m trying to working the long choke and the short choke but he’s so dang slippery I can’t really work for the choke with both arms and I realize man Marcus has pretty much no neck lol and he’s more slippery than a wet fish so i throw on a body triangle which is like a vice grip and just try and tire him out a lil.

He does what your typically not suppose to really do and throw punches from a disadvantages position and actually lands a good one to my orbital bone and swells my eye up! Next round I come out and I’m tired as hell haha I end up taking him down a couple times we get in a scramble he gets up stuffs some of my terrible gassed shots but I end up getting a Thai clinch and landed a hard knee to his chin (which they switch cameras so its hard to see well on TV) and that rocks him good and allows me to get a knee tap and land a nice elbow as soon as we hit the ground.

After the knee and elbow I could feel him break and he just gave me the choke! I thought who fighting out of shape sucks thank God I won! After the fight I kept thinking about how slippery he was and remembered Marcus putting on a ton of cocoa butter the day before and the morning of the fight not saying he was trying to cheat it could of been a normal part of his daily regimen but maybe it just caught my attention that day cuz I knew I was fighting him later. Anyways doesn’t matter now cuz I’m in the semi-finals Wooo hoo!

I just want to thank again every one who helped me get to this point in my career, Thank GOD, my family, Yakima MMA, Victory Athletics, AlphaMale, ViciousFight Gear, Bad Reputation Clothing, Fight University, PunchTown, all my training partners and last but not least BleacherReport!

Hey this is Bryan Caraway and my blog for TUF 14. I’m going be writing and explaining things this season that happen throughout the show, giving some behind the scenes commentary.

As soon as I land in Vegas and get to the hotel–they take my phone away. I had just gotten my phone back after three weeks of not having it due to being in jail, yep I said jail. Which was the first time in my life, due to some bogus traffic violations and fines from 6-yrs previous from a small little country town where I was attending Central Washington University. So you could imagine that bunk bed bench press and garbage can full of water curls didn’t cut it for cardio and fight training!

So they take my phone away, instantly and immediately I regret not making more phone calls to the people I love. Then they tell me I can’t leave the room at all, so right back in jail figuratively speaking. But it sucks even worse because my buddy John Prince Albert, who I used to train with at Dennis Hallmans Victory Athletics in Wa., made it out to the show along with my new Team mate Tj Dillashaw from Team Alpha Male and I couldn’t talk to them or hang out.

So the next day the take random groups of guys to different gyms to cut weight, then round us up and take us to weigh ins. At this point, they’re telling us nothing, so we have no clue where we’re going. We arrive at the Mandalay Bay Event Center and by this time I’m feeling super-pumped up despite being sucked up in weight.

We end up waiting out in front of some giant roll up doors–for what seemed like eternity in 100 degree weather just waiting, then all of a sudden the doors roll up and we see the Octagon sitting in the center of the of the Mandalay Bay…sweet!

We walk in and get in the cage where Dana is waiting for us! That’s when he tells us who are coaches are and about the bonuses, then starts to match us up one fight at a time with a face off of each fight.

The whole time I’m curious to whom there going to match me up with naturally, I’m thinking the guys with the most experience and highest profiles are Micah Miller, Eric Marriot, and myself.

Then bam, I get matched up with Marriot…I think it figures lol, but I am happy because at least I’m fighting someone that I know of. So I’m fighting Marriot a tough guy who is 20-4 pro, but out of shape, so I think screw it lets do this.

So on fight day they bring us to the venue and randomly split us up into red corner and blue corner with Bisping and his staff of coaches in one corner and Mayhem and his staff of coaches in the other.

Luckily for me, I get put in with my buddies, former team mate Prince and new team mate TJ in Bisping’s corner. I wasn’t happy at first about being in Bisping’s corner with his coaches at first, but they had good energy and were light-hearted which made it less stressful.

Bad news is that I’m the very last fight of the whole night despite how Spike shows it. The reason why this is bad news is because I get horrible anxiety before my fights and usually throw up! I just wanna fight and perform to the best of my ability and the long-wait gives my mind too many things to think about.

So the first fight happens and Josh aka TAZ wins then Louis wins from our corner; then a few more fights happen then Prince is up, so I go out and watch him fight and he does well winning in round 1 easily.

Now there’s a lil’ more pressure to make it in the house; then TJ is up against a very tough vet in Matt Jaggers and Tj ends up getting a sweet GnP knockout at the very very end of the round; even more pressure now. So I head to the back, relax and wait for my turn…then finally it’s my turn with a camera in my face asking me “how I feel.”

Shit just got real…and that’s when you see me say at the beginning of the show that I’m nervous and a little scared; then they cut off the rest what I continued to say: why I’m scared, that this is a huge opportunity of a lifetime and I want to perform to the best of my ability.

So the first round I take him down pretty easy, pass his guard and work some side elbows and ground-and-pound, then I scramble to a deep guillotine and he fights out well. So I sweep him get back on top, we scramble, I pass his guard again and pound some more. Then hit a super-deep guillotine that I set up and its really deep, thinking it’s over as I squeeze with every ounce I have–Marriot has to end up giving up mount and I still have it deep thinking he has to go out soon, but he some way finds away to get his hand in and hand fight out of it leaving me in mount.

Then I work some ground-and-pound from mount, but Marriot is no slouch and is moving well so I go back-to-side. I think he ends up scrambling up and my arms are super gassed from the chokes, that I was sure I had and squeezed with all my energy but no available.

Round 2, I stand a little and move around trying to let my arms relax a little–man I’m outta shape and tired as hell, but I push forward and secure a takedown and out grapple him all of Round 2–gassed out of shape–I was super thankful to get the win.

And hey Bisping, I’ve finished almost every fight I’ve ever fought so I’m pretty sure I have the killer instinct it’s called zero cardio–ha. But he didn’t know that I was in jail right before and because I controlled the fight, I think pretty well, it didn’t show too tremendously.

That is why at the very end of the show, I still have my tape on and shirt off because I literally had just finished fighting! After the fights, I went up and did another interview, which they never showed any of my first interviews. Bummer, oh well, we have the whole rest of the season ahead of us!

Thanks for reading stay tuned in for next week, because my blog is going to get real crazy and interesting. You can also catch me on fallout MMA radio this coming Sunday and every Sunday after. Many thanks to Yellow Jacket Clothing, Vicious Fight Gear, and PunchTown, and I’m a Beast Apparel.
