The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to Canada this week with the UFC 161: Evans vs. Henderson event live this Saturday (June 15, 2013) at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The events main card looks little like it did when the event was originally announced with light heavyweights Rashad Evans vs. Dan Henderson moved to the main event after an interim bantamweight championship match forced champ Renan Barao to postpone his fight with Eddie Wineland.
Other matches on the main card saw the departure of Antônio Rogério Nogueira vs. Maurício Rua, as well as the loss of fighters TJ Waldburger, Soa Palelei, and Isaac Vallie-Flagg.
Stepping in as replacements were James Krause, Kenny Robertson, and the events new co-main event Roy ‘Big Country’ Nelson who squares off with Stipe Miocic in a heavyweight matchup.
The events main card is set to appear on pay-per-view, while the prelim card is split between live television on FX and streaming video on Facebook.
