The power of Twitter shined very big in 2010 with pretty much every MMA fighter signing up to interact with their fans or smack talk with one another, while MMA Ring Girls showed us some very nice pictures. MMA Fix brings you a look back at our favorite tweets of the year.

5. One of many of Chael Sonnen’s twitter comebacks to Wanderlei Silva as they hype up a fight that has yet to be confirmed.
“Take your comebacks, write them down on a sheet of paper. Roll it up tight, soak it in water, freeze it overnight, then jam it up your ass.”
4. One of many of Chael Sonnen’s threats to Anderson Silva hyping up UFC 117.
“Anderson, you are going to be on your back more than a hooker with a mortgage.”
(Sonnen put on a stellar performance, getting Silva on his back several times, only to lose the fight when Anderson Silva was indeed on his back, submitting Sonnen with a triangle armbar. And then Sonnen tested positive for PEDs…)
3. Randy Couture’s apparent retirement via Twitter that put the media on high alert this was indeed his goodbye to the MMA world.
“Thanks to everybody who’s been tweeting about seeing my fights I must have missed the memo 
I think I’m at the end of it Yall . It’s time.”
(The tweet made headlines all over the internet and prompted Couture to speak to ESPN and retract [or deny] his intention to retire. Great marketing for Couture.)
