Dana White on Anderson Silva + Chael Sonnen Rematch, Comes Around on Roy Nelson

In an interview with Ariel Helwani after UFC 117, Dana White described the Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen fight as “legendary” (agreed) and hinted that a rematch could be in the works as his job is to give people fights they most “want to see.”

He seemed a little less sure whether or no Jon Fitch is truly the #1 contender at welterweight, but felt that Matt Hughes is definitely back in the mix.

Finally, after ripping Roy Nelson for awhile, White changes his tune, giving him nothing but respect for his performance against Junior Dos Santos.

If you’ve been following Twitter trending topics (if you’re not getting an over capacity message), you’d see ex-UFC star Roger Huerta’s name popping up.

After a big black dude punched THE FUCK out of a girl (not cool), Huerta stepped in and exacted some Batman style vengeance (or maybe more accurately, Bud White vengeance) on the guy.

Huerta has since said that he got “the best of” the guy (no shit) and Dana White defended Huerta by saying that the other guy “deserved it.”

We just updated our UFC 117 betting odds side bar to the right.

A good deal of movement in the lines and some good value to be had. Here’s a look at where to make your wagers.

:: As expected, a lot of public money is moving towards Anderson Silva. Chael Sonnen looking batshit crazy recently in denying he made an interview that he clearly made probably isn’t helping his cause either. But Silva moved over 50 points the past few weeks (for example, from +450 to +525 at Bodog). So if you, like us, think Silva eviscerates Sonnen, grab him at -400 at BetUS. If you think Sonnen has a shot at an upset, get him at +350 on Bodog here.

:: On the co-headliner, BetUS has Jon Fitch at Even, so take here that over the -105-130 offered elsewhere. BetED has Thiago Alves oddly listed as a dog at +100, so pick it up here.

:: Finally, Junior Dos Santos is a heavy favorite, but is listed as a less slightly heavy favorite at Bodog (-325) here. Roy Nelson, who we think definitely has a shot for an upset, has by far the best value at Bookmaker, who has him listed at +310 (he’s +250 everywhere else). So if you like Nelson in an upset, take the +310 at Bookmaker here.

:: And finally finally, just cause there’s always a big upset and we love the nickname, take Rodney “Sho Nuff the Master” Wallace at Bodog at +500 here.
