Anyone who wasn’t in their seat when the “fight” between James Gallagher and Alex McCooke took place didn’t miss much, and yet, they missed everything.

Right after the fight began, McCooke bizarrely tapped out. That’s right, he tapped out before the fighters approached each other.

When asked about it on Twitter, Gallagher shared some details about his opponent:

McCooke‘s tapout goes down as the quickest submission in MMA history.

Even on his days off, The Ultimate Fighter 19 competitor Cathal Pendred finds a way to stay busy.

While taking a walk on the beach on Sunday morning, the Irish mixed martial artist noticed a crowd of concerned people.

Pendred described the situation to Fox Sports’ Damon Martin:

We saw a big crowd of people down by the water and we walked down to see what was happening. We were told by the other people looking on that there was a baby dolphin that was quite injured and kept getting pushed back to shore by the waves. There was a man in the water trying to help the dolphin and I went in to help. The man told me he had been there for a wile trying to push him back out but the dolphin kept getting washed back in. The man said he was now exhausted so I told him I would take over trying to help.

Pendred then sprung into action. Up against ocean currents and rocky terrain, the fighter did his best to get the beached dolphin back into the water.

He shared additional details about his adventure, via Martin:

I continued trying to push the dolphin out past the waves but he continued to get washed back in. He was bleeding and had a lot of cuts so I think it was due to these injuries that he wasn’t strong enough to swim past the break.

At one point the current dragged him into a very rocky, shallow area of the beach and the dolphin became stuck. I couldn’t push him as his underside was scratching off the rocks and cutting him. So that’s when I picked up the dolphin and brought him to a deeper, less rocky area. I eventually was able to push him out past the waves and into the deeper part of the water. I stayed around for a while to make sure he wasn’t brought back in. And when I realized he wasn’t going to getting washed back, I headed for the hotel because I was wet and freezing.

It was a struggle, but Pendred was able to get the job done in about an hour.

Whether or not he goes on to win this season of TUF, Pendred undoubtedly gained some fans with this selfless act.

It can be tough for a mother to watch her son lose, especially when he is an MMA fighter.

Caleb Frasher knocked out Joe Fisher at the OFC 20: March Massacre II in Columbus, Ohio. After her son was choked out in 36 seconds, Fisher’s mother found a way into the ring to check on her son.

How did she get in? Juan Valle of Bluegrass MMA described the scene:

After the fight was over Fisher’s mother climbed the cage, to tend to her son who went to sleep during a rear-naked choke. She scaled the entire cage which stands nearly 9′ from the ground, rushed over to her son where she was greeted by Mark Matheny. The police had to escort her out of the cage while the medics took care of Fisher.

That’s pretty wild. She was going to find a way into that cage no matter how high it was.

It may not have been the family’s proudest moment, but at least this mother is willing to show just how much she cares about her son.

It’s one thing for athletes to get a tattoo after they become champions. It’s not every day that you see an athlete get inked after losing fairly quickly in a tournament.

Meet MMA fighter Poppies Martinez. He appeared in Bellator 104 against Brandon Girtz in October 2013, and it took Girtz all of 80 seconds to emerge victorious.

Despite losing in his only Bellator match, Martinez decided to get a Bellator tattoo on his neck.

Some may view it as weird to celebrate his appearance in the tournament by getting inked. However, it’s arguably one of the toughest tournaments in all of sports. Getting into the Bellator is quite the feat.

Martinez appears to be very proud of his accomplishment, and it’s hard to blame him for getting the tattoo done to honor it.

Anyone who wasn’t in their seats at the start of the fight between Corey Conway and A.J. Leone missed everything.

At Mayhem in Mesquite IV, Leone lasted a mere five seconds before getting knocked out by a powerful right hook from his opponent.

Conway spent more time taking victory laps than he did fighting. Not bad for an 18-year-old in his first professional bout.

CM Punk, you have been challenged by a Power Ranger.

Punk left the WWE last month, so it looks like he may have some free time on his hands. Hopefully, he is willing to take advantage of any and all opportunities that come his way.

MMA fighter Jason David Frank, who played the Green Power Ranger in the hit show Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, wants to take on Punk. Frank posted a photo on Instagram:

Here’s the caption that he included:

So now that CM punk is out of his contracts and wants to do MMA. Why not me? He already said he fight me. I got this on video from a fan. Come on CM punk we could make this a awesome fight. Plus his weight is way down. This is a recent pic. I’ll make any weight to make this happen!! JDF @wizworld

Wait, Punk already said he’d fight the Green Power Ranger? A few years ago, Punk was asked about a potential match with Frank. See what he had to say (h/t SB Nation):
