UFC star Conor McGregor is fresh off an impressive victory over Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 on Saturday, but Paul Michael Levesque—otherwise known as Triple H—thinks the Irishman could thrive in WWE as well.

“He could come over, he’s got it all, man—he’s got the personality, the skills, the talk. He’s an entertainer, for sure,” Triple H said, per Gareth A. Davies of the Telegraph. “What does he walk around at? 180 pounds? I have smaller guys now in the WWE. We have 200-pound guys who are stars. You don’t need to be 300 pounds any more.”

Triple H was at Madison Square Garden to witness McGregor handle Alvarez with relative ease inside of two rounds.

Davies noted McGregor said he has some major announcements before his fight with Alvarez, but Triple H clarified, “If his announcement has anything to do with WWE, then it’s news to me.”

Triple H mentioned McGregor’s ability to “talk,” which was on full display before Saturday’s event in New York City, as the UFC shared (warning: video contains NSFW language)

If McGregor did make an appearance at a WWE event, it wouldn’t be the first time UFC athletes crossed over. Brock Lesnar has fought in both circuits, and Ronda Rousey teamed up with The Rock to fight Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at WrestleMania 31.

Triple H referenced the pay-per-view success of boxer Floyd Mayweather’s fight with Big Show in 2008 as an example for McGregor to potentially follow. WWE shared Mayweather’s encounter on its YouTube page:

McGregor is just 28 years old and appears to be in the middle of his fighting prime. He is also immensely popular, and his teammate Cathal Pendred said “he’s probably the most popular person in Ireland right now” during an appearance with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, via Marc Raimondi of MMA Fighting.

Triple H and the WWE could capitalize on that popularity if McGregor elects to parlay his UFC success into a role or cameo with the company in the future.

Conor McGregor’s next fight will come against Eddie Alvarez on Nov. 12 at Madison Square Garden in New York as part of UFC 205.

UFC president Dana White confirmed the match will occur on Tuesday during SportsCenter, per UFC Vice President of Public Relations, Dave Sholler, who noted McGregor will keep his 145-pound belt through UFC 205.

UFC later issued an official release:

This comes after Alvarez called McGregor out on Twitter on Sept. 20:

McGregor didn’t address Alvarez directly, but he seemed to respond to the challenge on his own Twitter page:

Alvarez is the current lightweight champion because he knocked out Rafael dos Anjos at UFC Fight Night 90 in Las Vegas. McGregor is the featherweight champion, and Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com noted McGregor will have the chance to become the first-ever fighter to hold two belts at the same time if he earns a win on Nov. 12.

According to Damon Martin of FoxSports.com, Alvarez targeted the winner of McGregor’s showdown against Nate Diaz at UFC 202. McGregor won by majority decision and will now look to parlay that momentum into another victory at UFC 205.

Martin also noted “it appeared negotiations stalled recently” in an effort to set up the bout between McGregor and Alvarez because Khabib Nurmagomedov was given a lightweight title shot. Nurmagomedov was offered agreements for UFC 205 and 206, but “those contracts are null and void as the promotion shifts directions once again,” Martin wrote.

Dave Doyle of MMAFighting.com pointed out the showdown will be one of three championship fights at UFC 205. Tyron Woodley will square off with Stephen Thompson for the welterweight title, while Joanna Jedrzejczyk will face Karolina Kowalkiewicz for the strawweight title.

UFC 205 is the first card to occur in New York City.

UFC 205 will take place on Nov. 12 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, but it is still missing an official main event. Eddie Alvarez made sure the world knew he wants to be part of it on Tuesday.

Alvarez took to Twitter to call out Conor McGregor with the event approaching:

Alvarez is the lightweight champion and won that distinction in July when he knocked out Rafael dos Anjos at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas, while McGregor is the featherweight champion.

According to Damon Martin of Fox Sports, “the rumored bout between Alvarez and McGregor has been swirling for weeks,” and both fighters “are on board” to make sure it happens.

Martin pointed out Alvarez quickly turned his attention from his victory over Dos Anjos to the winner of the UFC 202 showdown between McGregor and Nate Diaz. McGregor won against Diaz by unanimous decision, and it seems as if his next test will come against the lightweight champion.

If Tuesday’s tweets were any indication, Alvarez is not intimidated by the thought of facing McGregor in his next bout.

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate probably didn’t expect to become a hero to a six-year-old girl and her family over Labor Day weekend, but that is exactly what happened.

According to Andreas Hale of Yahoo Sports, Tate was hiking at Mount Charleston near Las Vegas when she encountered Kai. Kai had broken her arm on the trail, and Hale noted “Tate spotted Kai’s mother struggling to carry the little girl down the 2.6-mile trail and decided to help out.”

Tate helped carry her down the rest of the mountain, where her family could seek medical attention. Kai’s father posted an image from the encounter on Instagram and thanked Tate for saving his family “easily hours of hiking” so they could get Kai to a hospital:

Tate also wrote about it on her Facebook page and said she was inspired by Kai as they “agreed we would both be strong for each other:”

The UFC fighter also shared a thank you message from Kai on Instagram:

Tate will surely have some new fans next time she steps inside the Octagon.
