“UFC 119: Mir vs. Cro Cop” went down at the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana on Saturday night featuring a main event between heavyweights Frank Mir and Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovi?.
A total of 15,811 fans walked through the gates in Indianapolis, bringing in a total of $1,613,337.
UFC president Dana White announced during the Spike TV “UFC Prelims” special that winners of the “Fight Night” bonuses would receive $70,000.
Walking away with 70K each were Sean Sherk, Evan Dunham, Matt Mitrione, Joey Beltran and C.B. Dollaway.
Two “Fight of the Night” were awarded by White to Sherk, Dunham, Mitrione, and Beltran for their work Saturday night. Sherk edged out Dunham to earn a split decision win (29-28, 28-29, 29-28), while Mitrione earned a unanimous decision win over Beltran on the Spike TV “UFC Prelims” broadcast.
Earning the “Submission of the Night” honor was Dollaway, who beat out two other submissions on the evening, for finishing Joe Doerksen in the first round. Dollaway showed poise after locking in an arm-in guillotine and transitioning to a full guillotine as both men scrambled on the mat.
No “Knockout of the Night” bonus was awarded even though Frank Mir scored the only KO of the evening against Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovi?.
