Alistair Overeem Comments On License Reinstatement Following NSAC Hearing (2 Videos)

UFC heavyweight Alistair Overeem received his fighter’s license from the Nevada State Athletic Commission following a hearing earlier today. ‘The Reem’ had been under a nine-month suspensions for having elevated testosterone levels following a random drug test last March. Overeem has now been cleared and will face Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva next month in Vegas at UFC 156 on February 2.

“The case here today I went for license, I’m very happy to inform you guys I got licensed to fight February 2nd, the UFC against (Antonio) ‘Bigfoot’ Silva. So for me it’s now back to work, back hitting the gym. I’m already basically in shape, just a couple more weeks of grinding it then it’s going to be showtime again. Thank you very much.”
