Andre Ward vs. Sergey Kovalev full fight video highlights from last night on HBO Boxing

Two of boxing’s very best locked horns last night (Sat., Nov. 19, 2016) on HBO pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, as Andre Ward went toe-to-toe with Sergey Kovalev. Both fighters had combined for 41 career knockouts prior to their meeting for the WBA, IBF and WBO light heavyweight titles. After knocking down Ward in the second round to prove his power is legitimate against an undefeated champion, Kovalev took an early lead on the judges’ scorecards. But, the savvy Ward battled back and fought tooth-and-nail in order to make it a close call in the end. As a matter of fact, it was as close as it could be, as Ward came away with the unanimous decision win after collecting one more point than the Russian knockout artist on each card. Check out the official scorecard below:

It was quite the performance by both fighters and a close enough contest to warrant a rematch in 2017. The full video highlights can be seen above.
