Bellator 160 Medical Suspensions: Patricio Freire Out Until 2017

Patricio Freire fractured his right fibula during his fight with Benson Henderson at Bellator 160. Freire told MMA Fighting that doctors decided against surgery despite his serious injury. Freire expects to be out for six weeks and likely return to the Bellator cage in 2017. It should be noted that Freire has been suspended 180-days.

The medical suspensions were released for the event on Monday morning. Here are the suspensions:

Patricio Freire: 180-day suspension or cleared by physician for possible fracture to right fibula. Hospital.

Keith Cutrone: 60-day suspension or cleared by physician for eyebrow laceration.

Stephen Martinez: 60-day suspension or cleared by physician for forehead laceration. 45-day suspension and 30 days no contact for TKO loss, no exception.

Bubba Jenkins: 45-day suspension and 30 days no contact after knockout loss. No exception.

Kyle Estrada: 45-day suspension and 30 days no contact after hard bout. No exception.

Ron Henderson: 45-day suspension and 30 days no contract after TKO loss. No exception.

Alex Trinidad: 45-day suspension and 30 days no contact after TKO loss. No exception.

Andy Murad: 45-day suspension and 30 days no contact after hard bout. No exception.

Mario Navarro Jr.: 45-day suspension and 30 days no contact after TKO loss. No exception.

Bellator 160 took place on Friday, August 26th, at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. The prelims aired on Spike TV.com at 7:50 p.m. ET while the main card aired on Spike TV at 10 p.m. ET.
