According to a report by the LA Times, Benson Henderson-Patricio “Pitbull” Freire will headline a doubleheader of MMA and boxing on August 26 from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Henderson-Freire will be the main attraction, as the boxing portion from Premier Boxing Champions features Robert Guerrero vs. David Peralta. The main bouts will air live on Spike TV.
Earlier this year, Henderson (23-6) made his Bellator debut, falling to welterweight champion Andrey Koreshkov via decision. Henderson is a former UFC lightweight champion who has split time between the two weight classes.
Freire (25-3) will be making the move up from featherweight to take on Henderson. He has gone 13-3 over 16 fights inside the Bellator cage.
