Fan favorite Octagon girl Brittney Palmer looks to get back into the swing of things now that she is back with the UFC.
Speaking with MMAWeekly Radio, Palmer revealed that she would be open to holding the cards once again when the promotion returns to Toronto in a few weeks at UFC 140.
“I don’t know, maybe the Toronto fight. Because I’ll be there anyway for my clothing line,” Palmer said.
A few weeks ago, UFC President Dana White asked fans via Twitter if they wanted Palmer back into the fold. Fans overwhelmingly responded with an emphatic yes, prompting White to announce that she would be back with the UFC.
Palmer had been taking a hiatus to focus on her other ventures, mainly using her time to work on her art. She enrolled full time into art school in California, moving to Los Angeles to take classes at UCLA.
“It’s so amazing, I love it. Studying art itself and art history, just everything, it changes who I am as a person and the way I look at things, and the way I look at people,” Palmer told MMAWeekly. “It’s the most amazing experience I’ve ever had and I’ve never felt more grounded and more fulfilled in my whole life. It’s paying off.”
A bit overwhelmed by the huge, positive reaction by fans, Palmer is grateful for the love and knows that she will always have a home with the UFC.
“It’s so flattering. At the end of the day, I’m an Octagon girl,” Palmer said to MMAWeekly. “I hold the card and that’s what I thought. Then everyone kind of reached out and didn’t want me to go, and it was such a big reaction, it’s flattering”.
