After a second fight with diverticulitis, former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar declares “he’s back,” according to the latest Fusion Ammunition commercial.

Lesnar has been a spokesperson for the company before, and he used the opportunity to go out and do some prairie dog hunting before he begins training for his highly anticipated return to the Octagon either later this year or in early 2012.

Possible opponents include Alistair Overeem and Frank Mir.

“Recently, I went under the knife and had surgery for my diverticulitis,” said Lesnar, who hasn’t fought since losing his heavyweight title to Cain Velasquez in October, 2010. “I feel like a new man. I feel great. I feel like I use to feel.”

The 34-year-old captured UFC gold when he defeated Randy Couture at UFC 91. He successfully defended it twice by defeating Frank Mir and Shane Carwin.

“Right now, one day at a time for me,” Lesnar continued. “My future, I believe there is still a bright future in the UFC for me. My health is 100 percent. I feel great. My motivation is there, and I want to get on the map again. I want to become the UFC heavyweight champion again, and I believe I will do that.”

When asked about his return to the UFC, Lesnar replied it would be “sooner than later.”
