Brock Lesnar has released a statement after he was flagged for a potential anti-doping violation.

Brock Lesnar made headlines on Friday after it was revealed that the former heavyweight champion failed a pre-fight drug test from UFC 200. The WWE star has since released a brief statement about the failure.

“We will get to the bottom of this,” Lesnar told the associated press. He also showed three letters showing that he passed multiple USADA tests that week.

Once he became eligible for testing, Lesnar was subject to it for at least 5 times on the first week and ended up with a total of 8 tests for the bout. USADA spokesperson Ryan Madden has also confirmed that Lesnar passed everything except for that one test just a few days apart.

“With Mr. Lesnar having spoken publicly about the issue, I can confirm that he has been notified of a potential anti-doping policy violation, stemming from an out-of-competition sample collection on June 28, 2016,” Madden said. “I can also confirm that the results from his previous samples collected by USADA were all reported as negative.”

“Although USADA will not be providing any further specifics of the case at this time, I can tell you that Mr. Lesnar, as with every athlete under the UFC anti-doping policy, will be provided full due process under the rules.”

Much like Jon Jones‘ situation, USADA won’t reveal the substance Lesnar tested positive for unless his camp reveals it on their own first.

Lesnar won a decision against Mark Hunt, who was very upset about the situation and is asking the UFC to pay him half of Brock’s purse because of the failure.
