Upcoming UFC light heavyweight title challenger Chael Sonnen certainly has no issues with selling a fight, and one of the best indicators of that fact may be his Twitter account.
Early Tuesday morning on April Fool’s Day, “The American Gangster” didn’t have any jokes in mind when addressing his UFC 159 title fight with “Bones” later this month.

Since March 27, 30 days from their April 27 fight, Sonnen has been tweeting some well thought out remarks about how he’s going to leave the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey with UFC gold around his waist.
Here’s another example:

With the heavily anticipated light heavyweight matchup rapidly approaching, the taunts haven’t been only coming from the challenger.
In a pre-fight interview with UFC.com, Jones called Sonnen “weak in every way, shape or form,” also stating that he has “no championship soul.”
Jones enters the bout having won eight fights in a row and looks to tie Tito Ortiz’s UFC light heavyweight record of five successful title defenses with a win over Sonnen.
Additionally, this marks Sonnen‘s first scrap at 205 pounds since UFC 55 in Oct. 2005, where he suffered a submission loss at the hands of Renato Sobral.
The Team Quest product has defeated top 10 middleweights such as Yushin Okami, Nate Marquardt, Brian Stann and Michael Bisping since Oct. 2009.
However, he has come up short in both his 185-pound title fights against UFC middleweight kingpin Anderson Silva, losing by both submission and TKO to the dominant champion.
Will Sonnen shock the world and pull the monumental upset over Jones later this month or will it be another highlight-reel worthy finish for the 25-year-old New York native?
