UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor’s open workout at the Red Rock Resort Spa and Casino may have been short lived, but it provided plenty of firepower from the Irish phenom on the microphone.
Following his workout session with a teammate in front of the jam-packed Rocks Lounge, McGregor took to the microphone to diss the Diaz brothers, who he referred to as ‘cockroaches’, just 24-hours after their water bottle war at the pre-fight press conference:
“F*ck the Diaz brothers,” McGregor said after his workout at Red Rock Resort Spa and Casino. “F*ck those cockroaches.
Like I said, I was in fear of my life yesterday,” McGregor said. “Bottles were coming flying. I was ducking. It was just self-defense on my part. I don’t know. I was afraid for my life.”
‘Notorious’ would then issue the following statement before dropping the mic and walking off stage to a boisterous crowd mixed with supporters of both armies:
“F*ck Team Diaz,” McGregor said. “And if you’re down with Team Diaz, f*ck you too.”
McGregor and Diaz will clash in the main event of UFC 202 live on pay-per-view (PPV), from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada this Saturday (August 20, 2016).
