Conor McGregor: You can’t say that, man.
The sharp-tongued UFC featherweight took to Twitter for a round of no-holds-barred questions and answers, and he unleashed a variety of funny, sometimes inappropriate responses for his fans across the globe.
After entertaining expected questions like, “@NotoriousMMA or Jose Aldo?” and “when are we going to see you fight again?,” McGregor received a setup for destruction, and he pressed the detonator with authority (h/t BloodyElbow).

McGregor could have responded professionally. He could have ignored the question altogether.
But this is the “Notorious” Conor McGregor. He would never take the safe, respectable route.
Instead, he fired back with:

That’s a totally reasonable thing to say about your peers, guys!
McGregor has fun. He’s goofy. He’s polarizing. I get it.
That said, a response like this shows absolutely no regard for professionalism or for the respect of his fellow fighters, and for that, it is deplorable.
Yes, he used a Dr. Dre lyric, and I’m sure he was “goofing around,” but that was absolutely not the time/place/subject to do so.
McGregor has since deleted the tweet, but this is the Internet, and with several “favorites” and “retweets,” his words will live on, undoubtedly drawing attention from the UFC front office.
No word has been passed along from UFC President Dana White just yet, but, as McGregor is one of his most valued prospects, one can be certain that he will see the comment and dole out the appropriate punishment.
McGregor has established himself as one of the most popular fighters in the UFC in under one year through Twitter and other feats of self-promotion, but he messed up badly this time, and it will cost him.
