Dana White was “blown away” by the Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr. bout.

A UFC event was going at the same time as the Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr. match, but Dana White says he managed to watch both simultaneously. After the UFC event, White told the media that he had one of his monitors tuned into the boxing pay-per-view while he was sitting cageside.

“Fighting is a young man’s game,” White said. “All that being said, (Mike Tyson) looked f—king awesome tonight! I was blown away with how good he looked.

“I was worried about Roy. Roy was 51 years old, but Roy’s been a lot more active than Tyson has been. Roy actually got more tired than Mike tonight, which was shocking. I’m happy for them. I hope they both made a f—king zillion dollars. It exceeded my expectations.”

White, who had initial reservations about Tyson returning after 15 years away from competition, also reacted to his friend saying he wants to do it again.

“He looked good. He’s a grown ass man and will do whatever he wants anyway, but good for him. It was actually a good fight. It was an entertaining fight to watch, and I thought he looked really good.”

Tyson looked good on his return, landing the harder and better shots throughout the contest. The exhibition bout was eventually declared an unofficial draw though.
