UFC President Dana White didn’t believe it when he heard that Jon Jones had been involved in stopping a thief and had to phone the fighter to get the story first hand. White says Jones looked “damned good” against Rua where he expected a “war” between the two fighters. He says the true test for Jones begins now after he’s been crowned the new champion.
White also talks about the dynamics between Jones and the next contender Rashad Evans, as well as the his thoughts on why “Suga” needed to take the fight.
On whether Urijah Faber and Dominick Cruz would be coaching on the next season of “The Ultimate” Fighter” White responded “No they are not” and offered no hints as two who will.
White also talks about the upcoming April 9 Strikeforce event, as well as confirming that the promotion will be run separately from the UFC. On Paul Daley getting cold feet, “Paul Daley has a contract. It would be a good idea for him to fulfill it.”
