Despite Opponent Change, Jay Hieron Looking For Great Fight At UFC 156

Welterweight journeyman Jay ‘The Thoroughbred’ Hieron had originally been scheduled to face Erick Silva on “Super Bowl” weekend but an injury to the Brazilian forced him off the card. Stepping in to face Hieron will be former Strikeforce contender Tyron Woodley who crosses over to the Octagon for his UFC debut. The two fighters will meet on the preliminary card of this weekends UFC 156 event card. Hieron says that despite the opponent change, that he is excited to face Woodley, who has trained at the same Xtreme Couture gym ‘The Thoroughbred’ has made his home for the last eight years.
