Diaz Says USADA ‘Can’t Come Over Anymore’ After UFC 232 Fiasco

After it was revealed earlier this week that an abnormal drug test result by Jon Jones would force UFC 232 to move from Las Vegas to California in order for “Bones” to get licensed, many fighters understandably voiced their concerns.

While Jones’ abnormality stemmed from past use and will have zero performance-enhancing effects come UFC 232, there is still something very off-putting by the entire situation. Jones did go out of his way to once again prove his innocence and apologize to those affected by UFC 232’s change in venue, but the MMA world is an unforgiving space.

A plethora of fighters posted unpleasant reactions to social media in an attempt to bash not only Jones, but also United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) for letting the former light heavyweight champion still compete at UFC 232. Absent from those tongue lashings was none other than UFC fan favorite Nate Diaz, who is usually outspoken about most hot topics in MMA.

That was until Diaz posted the following to Twitter earlier today (Fri., Dec. 28, 2018) stating that USADA is no loner welcome in his home:

Diaz also injected some emojis into his backlash:

Did you expect anything else from the no-nonsense Diaz brother?

While Diaz has been known to bash UFC when it may not have been necessary, many fighters, and fans, would agree with him in this instance. Luckily for Diaz, he currently has no fight scheduled after his co-main event clash with Dustin Poirier at UFC 230 was cancelled following an injury to “Diamond.” That means the Stockton native may be getting less USADA visits that some other active fighters.

UFC 232 will go down tomorrow night (Sat., Dec. 29, 2018) live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., and still feature the highly-anticipated rematch between Jones and Alexander Gustafsson for the vacant light heavyweight title. The PPV main card will also showcase a women’s featherweight superfight between current UFC champion Cris Cyborg and current UFC women’s bantamweight titleholder Amanda Nunes.

MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire UFC 232 fight card, starting with the Fight Pass “Prelims” matches online, which are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. ET, then the remaining undercard balance on FOX Sports 1 at 8 p.m. ET, before the PPV main card start time at 10 p.m. ET.
