Dillon Danis reacts after the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) suspended and fined the Conor McGregor teammate.

The sanctions came for Danis’ involvement in the post-UFC 229 pay-per-view (PPV) brawl in October. The NSAC handed Danis a seven-month suspension and $7,500 fine. He took to Twitter shortly after the news to offer up his reaction. Here’s what the Bellator MMA fighter had to say:

“7 months and 7500$ for defending myself it is what it is fuck it at least i got him with that two piece and a biscuit”

Danis’ suspension is retroactive to October 6, 2018, meaning he’s eligible to fight after May 6th. He currently holds a 1-0 professional mixed martial arts (MMA) record. Danis submitted Kyle Walker in the first round of their fight at Bellator 198 in April. He isn’t the only one who was punished for the UFC 229 altercation.

McGregor received a six-month suspension and $25,000 fine. Khabib took the worst financial hit with a $500,000 fine and nine-month suspension. His teammates, Zubaira Tukhugov and Abubakar Nurmagomedov, who were also involved, were each suspended a year and received $25,000 fines.

He’s eligible to fight again in July, but Khabib has stated he will sit out the entire time his friends are suspended.
