Donald Cerrone passes message along to Ronda Rousey – ‘Dust off and lets go’

UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson isn’t the only fighter delivering a message to a struggling Ronda Rousey these days. As the former UFC women’s bantamweight queen continues to deal with her recent knockout loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207, fellow MMA artists, such as Donald Cerrone, believe it’s time for “Rowdy” to shake off her defeat and get back in the cage.

Alongside the aforementioned Nunes, Cerrone talked about Rousey’s string of losses during this recent media scrum captured by MMA Fighting:

“I don’t get ready to f**king lose, but when you do, yea pull me up mother f**ker, ‘dust off and lets go'”, said Cerrone. “It’s just what happens.”

“The sun’s still rising, life goes on,” continued Cerrone. “It’s just a fight. It’s nothing serious, right? It’s nothing like, ‘hey, it’s some serious news’. So her, like, going hiding and going crazy, why? Yea, you got your ass whooped…by one of the best in the world.”

Cerrone, 34, knows all too well about the struggles of losing inside of the Octagon. Not only did “Cowboy” get knocked out in his lone UFC title shot opposite Rafael dos Anjos at UFC on FOX 17, but the former lightweight recently had a four-fight win streak at welterweight snapped when he was obliterated by Jorge Masvidal this past January.

Most fight fans are hoping that Rousey can collect herself mentally and rediscover her combat groove. But considering the former UFC champ just got engaged and is gearing up for family life, it may be even tougher to draw her back into the world of hurt.
