A pair of lightweights appear scheduled to meet in Brazil this May in fighters Evan Dunham (14-3) and Rafael dos Anjos (18-6) as part of the upcoming UFC on FX 8 event.

Reports of the matchup was announced by Brazilian news agency Globo TV on Tuesday.

UFC on FX: Belfort vs. Rockhold (aka UFC on FX 8) is expected to take place on May 18, 2013 at the Arena Jaraguá in Jaraguá do Sul, Brazil. A middleweight bout is expected to headline between former UFC champ Vitor Belfort and the debut of Strikeforce’s final 185-lbs title holder Luke Rockhold.

Dunham is 3-1 in his last four and is 1-1 in his last two matches. He fought earlier this month at UFC 156 in Vegas earning a split decision over opponent Gleison Tibau. Prior to that Dunham had earned back-to-back “Fight of the Night” bonuses, losing to TJ Grant at UFC 152 by decision and stopping Nik Lentz at UFC on FOX 2 via doctor stoppage.

Dos Anjos has won three in a row and is 4-1 in his last five Octagon appearances. The Brazilian fought in Montreal last November at UFC 154 defeating Canadian Mark Bocek by decision. His other two wins in his current streak include a decision over Anthony Njokuani at UFC on FUEL TV 4 and a first round submission of Kamal Shalorus at UFC on FUEL TV 3.
