Last Saturday night, mma veteran Falaniko Vitale hoped to be the first fighter to defeat a Bellator champion in a non-title ‘Superfight’ at Bellator 44. Unfortunately his opponent, Bellator middleweight champ Hector Lombard, had other ideas by scoring another highlight knockout in the third round.
Vitale felt fine after the fight, calling it a “flash knockout” and feels he was a bit hesitant against Lombard, instead of pursuing his gameplan by putting the champ on his back.
