Boxing: Pacquiao vs Broner

The legendary Manny Pacquiao (61-7-2, 39 KOs) will make his return to the boxing ring later tonight (Sat., July 20, 2019) live on FOX PPV from inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, as he takes his chances against undefeated WBA (Super) welterweight champion Keith Thurman (29-0-1 NC, 22 KOs).

Pacquiao, who is riding a two-fight win streak after dropping a decision to Australian Jeff Horn two years ago, will earn a pretty penny for his main event bid. According to ESPN’s Dan Rafael, “Pac-Man” will bank $10 million for his services later tonight. Of course, the 40-year-old veteran stands to earn much more on the back end of the fight.

As for Thurman, who has fought just once in the past 28 months, he will nab a cool $2.5 million for his clash with Pacquiao, although he is expected to earn millions more as well. Thurman, who is defending his WBA (Super) welterweight title, will be entering the biggest fight of his career. A victory over Pacquiao will launch “One Time” into the next level of boxing superstars entering 2020.
