Former long-time UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre has finally been spotted in full costume as Batroc the Leaper on the set of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”

The superhero action flick, which hits theaters on April 4, is a sequel to 2011’s “Captain America: The First Avenger,” which grossed over $370 million at the box office.

Chris Evans reprises his role as Captain America, as does Scarlett Johansson in her role of the deadly female assassin, The Black Widow.

St-Pierre’s character, whose real name is Georges Batroc, was introduced in the Marvel Universe back in 1966 and is a French mercenary who is an expert at Savate – a French form of kickboxing.

“Rush” sat atop the UFC’s welterweight throne from April 2008 though November of last year, where he racked up 10 wins, nine of which were successful title defenses.

Prior to recapturing the belt from Matt Serra at UFC 83, he scored decisive wins over Josh Koscheck and Matt Hughes at UFC 74 and UFC 79, respectively.

The Tristar Gym standout received little opposition until he met Johny Hendricks at UFC 167, winning a controversial split decision that the overwhelming majority of the fight community didn’t think the champ deserved.

Days afterwards, GSP announced he was taking a hiatus from the sport and vacated the UFC gold.

Hendricks has another chance to claim the belt when he fights fellow power puncher Robbie Lawler at UFC 171 in March.

Will GSP eventually make a return to the Octagon or will he find the bright lights of Hollywood far more attractive at this point in his career?
