Another MMA fighter will be taking office. According to reports, Sharice Davids has won the race for Kansas’ 3rd Congressional District on Tuesday night.

Davis, a 38-year-old Democrat, unseats incumbent GOP Rep. Kevin Yoder, who served four terms in Congress. The lawyer and former MMA fighter has made history and will be the first-ever Native American woman elected to Congress.

She started out as an amateur MMA fighter in 2006, before turning professional in 2013, and going 1-1 in her career. She had trained at JacksonWink in the past, and tried out for Season 20 of The Ultimate Fighter. It’s where she submitted current UFC fighter Nina Ansaroff and got a cash bonus from Dana White, but ultimately didn’t make the final cut for the long running reality show.

Davis will join Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma as former MMA fighters that are currently in the United States House of Representatives. Mullin is a key figure in pushing for the Muhammad Ali Expansion Act in MMA.
