The Cro Cop killer will soon be making his return to the Octagon.
According to mmaweekly.com, Gabriel Gonzaga has signed a new four-fight deal with the UFC and will return at UFC 142 to face off against Edinaldo Oliveira.
Gonzaga comes in as an injury replacement for Rob Broughton, who was forced off the card with an injury on Friday.
Gonzaga was last seen in the Octagon at UFC 121, where he was beaten by Brendan Schaub via unanimous decision.
Before that, he had fought—and lost to—Junior dos Santos, Randy Couture, Shane Carwin and Fabricio Werdum twice.
Overall, he racked up a 7-5 UFC record, with his most notable win being a head kick knockout of Mirko Cro Cop at UFC 70.
Most recently, he defeated Parker Porter via a third-round arm-triangle choke at Reality Fighting Championships to win the heavyweight title.
UFC 142 goes down on January 14 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
