Tyson Fury (29-0-1, 20 KOs) may have defeated Otto Wallin (20-1-1 NC, 13 KOs) last night (Sat., Sept. 14, 2019) live on ESPN+ from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, to retain his WBO Inter-Continental heavyweight title, but “Gypsy King” suffered a cut of a lifetime in the process.

In the second round of their main event fight Wallin was able to land a short left hook to the right eye of Fury. The English champion immediately split open and began to bleed by the second. Wallin took full advantage of the cut as he targeted it in later rounds. The challenger even rubbed the cut during breaks from the clinch.

In the end, Fury was still able to deliver the goods and put the pressure on Wallin in the later rounds. The bloodied heavyweight king blasted heavy body shots and combinations up top. Wallin stood in tough and lasted much longer than his pre-fight betting odds would have predicted. “All In” did fade late into the fight but that’s because he was competing against a desperate Fury fighting against time. Luckily, the fight wasn’t stopped due to the cut and Fury was able to land even more offense as the action concluded in Vegas,

Check out the cut that started it all above and some late-fight pressure by Fury below:
