Bantamweight prospect Ronnie Lawrence looked like a world beater in his Octagon debut earlier tonight (Sat., Feb. 27, 2021) at UFC Vegas 20 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, when he stopped Vince Cachero via third-round TKO (punches).

This was all Lawrence from the opening bell as he utilized leg kicks to soften Cachero up and eventually implemented his ground game. Lawrence was able to secure multiple takedowns on Cachero and sap his energy along the way. In Round 3, Lawrence turned the heat up, slammed his fellow bantamweight to the ground with a near-suplex, and capped his performance off with a barrage of punches to the head to force the stoppage.

Lawrence, 28, made a big splash on Dana White’s Contender Series back in September, but nobody thought he’d look as dominant as he did tonight. “The Heat” has now won four fights in a row and looks like a future threat to the bantamweight top 15.
