Welterweight knockout artist Michael “Venom” Page made the most out of his main card bid earlier tonight (Fri., Sept. 27, 2019) at Bellator’s event inside 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, when he put a stop to Richard Kiely via first-round knockout (flying knee.)

The stoppage occurred just midway through the first as Page timed his patented flying knee only to land it flush on Kiely’s chin along the cage. Kiely instantly fell backwards to the canvas as referee Dan Miragliotta stepped in to call the fight. As for Page, he was seen mocking the Irishman after landing one of the best shots of his Bellator career.

With this performance, Page gets back into the welterweight win column after suffering a brutal knockout defeat to Douglas Lima earlier in the year (watch it HERE). The 32-year-old striker called “Phenom” out following his vicious stoppage over Kiely, but Lima is currently scheduled to rematch Bellator welterweight champion Rory MacDonald next month in the Welterweight Grand Prix finale. If Lima is able to take out MacDonald in fashion and leave nothing on the table for a trilogy bout, Page may finally get his first crack at Bellator gold and a chance to avenge his first career loss at the hands of the Brazilian.
