Fight fans witnessed one of the best finishes of 2020 earlier today (Sat., Oct. 10, 2020) at KSW 55 from inside the Wytwornia Club in Lodz, Poland, as veteran Mamed Khalidov caught Scott Askham with a ridiculous switch kick knockout.

Khalidov, who was fighting Askham in a rematch for the KSW middleweight championship, caught the Englishman with a switch kick on the go following a combination attempt in the center of the cage. Askham fell backwards into the fence and Khalidov followed up with a few hammer fists before the referee stepped in.

What makes this performance even more impressive for Khalidov is the fact that the Russian fighter turned 40 back in July. He’s been competing in KSW for well over 13 years now and is one of the best finishers outside of the major U.S. promotions.

Askham, who has UFC experience under his belt, had never been finished in his professional career. He was riding a five-fight win streak coming into this middleweight title fight, including a decision win over Khalidov in December 2019.

What do you think, fight fans? Is this one of the best finishes of the year?
