Invicta FC will head back to its hub town of Kansas City, Missouri. On Friday, the promotion announced a fight card for April 24 at the Municipal Auditorium.

Invicta 12 will feature a strawweight title fight between champion Katja Kankaanpaa and Brazilian Livia Renata Souza. The Finnish fighter Kankaanpaa (10-1-1) won the title back in September at Invicta FC 8 against Stephanie Eggink. Souza (7-0), meanwhile, will be making her promotional debut with Invicta. Her latest victory came against Camila Lima in September. As a Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist, six of her seven victories have come via submission.

For Invicta, which hosted its first eight events in Kansas City beginning in April 2012, this will make a return home. Since Invicta 8, the all-women’s promotion has visited Davenport, Iowa, Houston and, most recently, Los Angeles for Cyborg Justino versus Charmaine Tweet.

The fight card will stream exclusively on UFC Fight Pass.
