Fight fans got to see one of the worst cuts of 2021 earlier today (Fri., Oct. 1, 2021) at Bellator 267 live on Showtime from inside Wembley Arena in London, England, as lightweight fighter Kane Mousah suffered a nasty gash above his left eye.
Mousah, who met French veteran Davy Gallon in “Prelims” action, suffered the cut with seconds remaining in the first round. Gallon stepped in for a short elbow that landed flush and cut Mousah like a hot knife through butter. Luckily, Mousah’s corner was able to play some damage control, apply a goop of Vaseline, and sent Mousah back out into the second.
Mousah ended up losing the contest via unanimous decision, but his barbaric efforts did not go unnoticed. This is one of the worst cuts we’ve seen this year and the lightweight fighter still fought an additional 10 minutes against a brutal opponent like Gallon. It was quite the performance even in a losing affair.
