Less than two weeks after barricading himself inside his home during a bizarre police standoff, Jason Miller appeared for an arraignment at the Orange County Superior Court and issued a not guilty plea for charges of resisting arrest and obstructing an officer.
ABC’s Julie Stone tweeted out the news on Monday morning.
“Mayhem” Miller was arrested after a three-hour stand-off with Orange County Police and SWAT at his home in Mission Viejo, California on Oct. 9. He locked himself in his house after an officer tried to serve him a bench warrant for his arrest for an alleged stalking and domestic violence incident.
“ALL THIS because I wanted to help raise a young boy into a man, and his mama went off her meds, and an ambitious DA thinks mayhem is BAD,” he tweeted during the standoff. “I need to tell everyone about the absolute waste of resources going on outside of my house right now. i am counting no less than 5 officers,” he tweeted at another time.
After three hours, Miller was finally detained and taken into custody after the Orange County Sheriff’s department. According to police records, Miller posted bail at $200,000 (according to the Orange County Register) after spending seven days in jail.
The latest incident follows a line of erratic behavior and police run-ins for Miller. In August 2012 he was arrested for breaking into and vandalizing a church with a fire extinguisher while naked. The one-time host of MTV’s “Bully Beatdown” was arrested a year later on domestic violence charges following a texting argument.
