Jay Hieron Finally Released From Bellator, Hopes Free Agency Brings Him Back To The UFC

Welterweight fighter Jay ‘The Thoroughbred’ Hieron has finally made the arrangements to get his release from the Bellator promotion after long months of discontent. Hieron had been looking for an immediate rematch with Bellator champ Ben Askren after losing a split decision back in October at Bellator 56. Bellator turned down Hieron, sticking too it’s tournament format to deny ‘The Thoroughbred’ a rematch. Now a free agent, Hieron has an upcoming match with a smaller organization, is hoping that free agency leads his career back to the UFC.
