Light heavyweight champion Jon Jones reacts to his drug test results ahead of his fight at UFC 235.

Jones will make his first official title defense since 2015 on Saturday night when he faces Anthony Smith in UFC 235’s main event. Before they fight, however, there is fight week, including today’s open workouts day.

As you may have guessed, Jones was forced to answer some questions regarding his UFC 235 drug tests, which yielded some mixed results. According to “Bones”, he is doing what’s asked of him, and that helps him sleep at night.

“What makes me sleep good at night is knowing that I’ve submitted myself to every drug test” Jones said. “I’m getting tested by three of the most powerful agencies in the world. I’ve never avoided a test.”

“I just feel like the more I’m accessible, the more data that they’ll understand and the more everyone will understand”, he added.

Jones says he’s working to understand what’s happening in his body. He’s still learning, he claims, and he wishes fans would make the effort to do the same:

“I wish fans would not just look at the headlines and actually clicked on the links and read and learned what was reall going on.”
